About Lake Tahuya
Lake Tahuya, listed by Washington’s Department of Fish and Wildlife as Tahuya Lake, is a small lake on the western Kitsap Peninsula in Kitsap County, west of Green Mountain. The Tahuya River begins here and flows south to Hood Canal. WDFW opened the lake’s first public access area in November 2023, with a hand launch for canoes, prams and kayaks. The agency stocks trout, and bass and bluegill are fished year-round. Our design follows its real shoreline, including the thin southwest cove and the island in the south basin.
