Privacy policy

Lake Swag ("we", "us") is a one-person shop in Ringgold, Georgia, just outside Chattanooga, that sells lake art on shirts, mugs, prints and more at lakeswag.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@lakeswag.com.

What we collect

Order details you give us: your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you enter one, what you ordered.
Payment details: handled by our checkout and payment providers (Shopify and the payment method you choose). We never see or store your full card number.
Messages: what you send us by email or through our contact and lake suggestion forms.
Email sign-up: your email address if you sign up for our emails (in the site footer, the 10% off offer or a poll), and your answers if you vote in a poll.
Device and usage information: collected automatically by cookies and similar technology when you browse, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and how you got to our site.

How we use it

To make, ship and deliver your order, and to send order and shipping emails.
To answer your questions and handle any problems with an order.
To send marketing email if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To run, secure and improve the site, and to prevent fraud.
To measure and improve our advertising, where the law allows and subject to your choices below.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts our store and runs checkout and payments.
Printify, Printful and their print partners, who make your order, and the shipping carriers who deliver it. They receive your name, shipping address and the items ordered, and your email or phone number if needed for delivery.
Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and Pinterest, which receive information about visits and purchases through cookies, pixels and similar tools so we can measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested.
Shopify's email and forms tools, which store your email address and send the marketing emails you signed up for.
Authorities or others when required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of selling or transferring the business.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat sharing information for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing". You can opt out as described below.

Cookies and your choices

Some cookies are needed for the store to work (for example, keeping items in your cart). Others are for analytics and advertising. Where our cookie banner appears, you can accept or decline those. You can also use the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of the site, your browser settings, or a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor where our platform supports it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, "sales" or "sharing". To make a request, email hello@lakeswag.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we decline your request, you can reply to appeal. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed to complete your order, handle any problems, and meet tax and legal requirements. We keep email sign-ups until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as it's useful for the purposes above.

Security

Payments are processed by Shopify, which meets the payment card industry's security standard (PCI DSS). We protect the information we hold with reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Important changes will also be noted on the site.
