About Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada, straddling the California-Nevada line. The U.S. Forest Service describes it as 22 miles long and 12 miles wide, with 72 miles of shoreline and a deepest recorded depth of 1,645 feet.
