How deep is Lake Tahoe?
Its deepest recorded depth is 1,645 feet. UC Davis's Tahoe Environmental Research Center says that makes it the second deepest lake in the United States.
Is Lake Tahoe natural or a reservoir?
It is a natural lake. A dam at Tahoe City, controlled by the federal water master, also lets it work as a reservoir.
Does the Lake Tahoe outline include Emerald Bay?
Yes. It follows the real shoreline with Emerald Bay in the southwest and the Crystal Bay notch on the north shore; the Tahoe Keys lagoon channels on the south shore are left out so the print stays clean.
