About Lake Ontario · Lake America
Lake Ontario, also called Lake America in US federal naming since August 2026, is the last lake in the Great Lakes chain. New York lines its south and east shores, the Canadian province of Ontario the rest, and the border runs through the middle. The Niagara River flows in from Lake Erie, and the St. Lawrence River carries the water out toward the Atlantic. EPA figures give it 7,340 square miles of water and a maximum depth of 802 feet. Rochester and Watertown are the main U.S. cities on it. Our hand-finished design shows the whole lake, both shores included.
