Details and questions
Size and material
Tempered glass, 11 × 15 in, with a textured top and four rubber feet. Our print partner in St. Louis, MO makes it after you order.
The lake map
Every arm and cove of Lake Lanier, traced from the U.S. Geological Survey's map of its shoreline.
Care and use
Tempered glass with a textured top. Cut on it, serve on it, hand wash it. Glass is harder on knife edges than wood.
How do I put our name on it?
Type your last name and a year in step 3. We print it as The Smith Family · Est. 1998. On every style but Vintage map you can type your own words instead, or pick “Just the lake, no name” for a board with no name or year.
How long does it take?
We email you a picture of your board to check within about a business day. Once you say it looks good, it's made in 2–5 business days and reaches you 3–7 days after that.
Will I see it before it's made?
Yes. We email you a picture of your board to check before we print. Reply "looks good" or tell us what to change.
What if I don't answer the email?
If we don't hear back in two business days, we print it just as you typed it, so your gift isn't held up.
Can I change something after I order?
Yes, until you approve the picture. Just reply to our email.
Can I cut on it?
It's tempered glass with a textured top. Most people use it for serving and as a counter saver, because glass is hard on knife edges. Hand wash.
About Lake Lanier
Lake Lanier, officially Lake Sidney Lanier, is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir in the foothills of Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, created when Buford Dam was completed on the Chattahoochee River in 1956 and also fed by the Chestatee River. It spans Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Gwinnett and Lumpkin counties, with more than 690 miles of shoreline and over 100 small islands. The Corps counts 76 recreation areas and 10 marinas for boating, swimming, camping, hiking and fishing. Our hand-finished Lake Lanier designs follow its real shoreline, arm for arm.
