About Lake Havasu
Lake Havasu is the reservoir behind Parker Dam on the Colorado River, on the Arizona-California line by Lake Havasu City. The Bureau of Reclamation built the dam from 1934 to 1938 and calls it the deepest dam in the world, since 73 percent of its 320-foot height sits below the old riverbed. The lake is about 45 miles long and covers nearly 20,390 acres, and Lake Havasu State Park offers boat ramps, campsites and a beach. Our designs follow its real shoreline, Topock Gorge to Parker Dam, finished by hand.
