About Lake Harmony

Lake Harmony is in Kidder Township, Carbon County, in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, and the village around it shares the name. The spring-fed lake covers about 120 to 125 acres and runs roughly two and a half miles long, at about 1,841 feet. Its overflow at the eastern end feeds Tobyhanna Creek and then the Lehigh River. The lake is privately owned, and Split Rock Lodge, built in 1941 as a hunting and fishing club, sits on its shore. The Big Boulder and Jack Frost ski areas are a short drive away, and a 1913 account already described the lake as a summer resort of cottages and campers.
